Summertime is upon us, not technically, but I’ve always thought of the memorial weekend as a great stepping-off point. It’s time to update you on what’s going on in the world of Alexie Aaron. The audiobook Sand Trap, is available on Audible. I’ll let you know when it goes live on Amazon and iTunes. I’m very proud of this book and the way Emily’s performance enhances it. If you’re an Audible user, you may want to have a listen. *EDIT* Audible has granted me with some free codes for Sand Trap! First 10 people to email me at alexieaaronbiz@gmail.com will get a reply with their code.
This summer and early fall, I hope to be releasing two Haunted Series novels. Never Forget and The Old House. Both of these books take place in the summer, ideal for vacation reading. Never Forget is a long book, so please be patient. It has just entered editing. Our goal is to give you, the reader, the best reading experience. Sure, we may miss a few things, but I think our record is pretty good. I’ve learned so much from working with the Red Pen. She has the patience of a saint. I normally take a bit of a break after completing the first draft of a novel, but Mia woke me up at 3:30AM one morning and insisted she wanted a few things resolved. I’ve just started The Old House and already the book has captured my attention. The Old House is partly inspired by our finding an old house in ruin but still holding on to its dignity. I wrote a bit about it in a previous post.
I’m very pleased with the reception of my fourth Cin Fin-Lathen Mystery. At the time of this writing, Donna Fredricks, Janice Ivy, Marcy Winn Lopez, and Monika Simatic Skinger have graciously taken the time to review the book for me on Amazon. Others have left me kind messages about the cozy. Thank you all for welcoming and reading Wages of Cin. There will be more books. As always, I wait for the best story to find its way into my bean before writing.
Coming up:
Darker than Dark needs a new cover. Yup, not one of our best. We will be presenting a few covers for you, the readers, to choose from. This will adorn the upcoming paperback, the audiobook and the ebooks. Go ahead and be critical, we can take it - psychiatrists are standing by. (nervous giggle)
We are pondering the idea of a podcast. My Webguy wants to have a casual sit-down with me and talk about the Haunted Series. Since casual to me is my pajamas, it will probably just be audio. But you will get to hear my voice, oy. If you think this is a good idea, let us know. If you are too shy to comment on the website, email us at alexieaaronbiz@gmail.com or message me on Facebook. If I haven’t responded, give me time. I’m probably in the muse.
My Summer Plans:
Aside from writing, I’m going to make short trips around northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin and Michigan. I feel it’s important to be in the areas where I set most of my Haunted Series books. I’m also going to take in a few concerts with my editor. She and I share a love for Toad the Wet Sprocket, Tonic and Vertical Horizon. Speaking of music, did you like “Cin’s Sins?” Murphy did and has decided to write his own song. Just a little extra something as a thank you to you readers. Look for it along with the release of Never Forget this summer.
