Alexie’s next book was going to be called “Rescue”. It was going to deal with saving children who are currently under the threat of violence and displacement of war. Mia would ultimately become a giant, so that all the invading army’s firepower and weapons would be directed at her, the distraction, while the rest of her human and paranormal team and allies rescued the children to bring them to safety. Mia would take on so much pain and damage that at the end of this battle, Azrael, the keeper of The Light, would let her off the hook and let her body die. He would tell her that before she moved on, why not spend a little time with Murphy first?
