I looked at the calendar, and my eyes bugged out. May 13th. Yup another Friday the 13th. It seems they arrive with more regularity than my Gap purchases. This week I’m slammed with real world conflicts, so please excuse the brevity of this post.
The Long Game has entered its second edit. What does this mean? It still has some punctuation scrubbing to do, and the words will be checked again. I’m a beast when it comes to splitting compound words, so The Red Pen makes sure that the whole book is reviewed a few times before we give it to the Beta Reader. I will notify you here when we have a firm date for publication. I love this book. It has so much in it that I know you’re all going to appreciate. For those that have read the series a few times, questions will be answered, and there is an oh my gosh moment that I’ve been waiting to bring out. For that, this book seemed the right place.
While this edit was going on, I’ve not been sitting on my hands – okay maybe one of them. I’ve been writing a novella called Cid. I’ve unleashed my beloved pedantic contractor, and he’s working on a mansion that, in the 1920s, put the W in wild. I’ve wanted to take Cid out of the kitchen for a long time now; I just needed the right story. This I believe will showcase Cid, his contractor friends, and the paranormal souls he runs into on the job. If you guys love it, I may run his novels alongside The Haunted Series. I’m calling it a novella at this point, but if the muse takes me for a ride, Cid and I may have a full novel on our hands.
So I’ll get back to Cid and my corrections on The Long Game. This summer is looking like a PEEPs-filled season.
