One of my favorite readers, Amanda Urquhart from Down Under – does that mean I’m Up Over? Back on topic. Amanda recently posted that she was looking forward to spring which means – yeah – I’m moving into fall, which brings on a cool word like autumnal, the wearing of sweaters and my new blue jean jacket. I also have my collection of boots lined up. I’m ready! What else is going on?
I recently spent a few hours with the Facebook Rebel Book Club https://www.facebook.com/groups/RebelBookClub/ discussing The Hauntings of Cold Creek Hollow. I enjoyed meeting the members and the challenge of trying to keep up with their questions. I wish to thank Donna Berdar for the invite and Chris Patterson for her expert monitoring of the session. I had a wonderful time. You should check out their book club. It looks like a fun way to keep abreast of all the great books out there while enjoying the fun personalities that reside in the group.
Book 17 of the Haunted Series, Restitution, has passed the read-through and is ready for the initial edit. It should be released just before Halloween. In the meanwhile, I have started book 18. I fixed all my problems with the 5th Cin Fin-Lathen Mystery, Unforgivable Cin: An Opera in Three Acts. It’s in line after Restitution for an edit. The Red Pen is going to be spending the fall knee deep in manuscripts. I’ve decided to stick with just the one editor. She knows me and how I work. We will still do our best to get the books out as fast as we can.
Okay, I know I risk all sorts of humiliation writing this, but I’m a Chicago Bears fan. Yes, I spend my Sunday’s dressed in my Cutler Makes Me Drink hoodie cheering on my team which has more new members than I have books written. Anyway, I take the game day off. Otherwise Mia would be following the coach around instead of investigating paranormal events. Murphy doesn’t see the thrill in tossing a ball while a half dozen men, bigger than him, try to tackle him first. The only character who shares my obsession is Susan Braverman, God bless her.
I’m heading out to do a graveyard podcast with the Webguy soon - weather permitting. I don’t know exactly how this is going to work, but we’re going to give it a try. I can’t divulge the graveyard or its location because the denizens of it don’t need to be disturbed any more than necessary. It’s a quiet, secluded place off the beaten path. Not a bad place to end up really.
Well, either it’s my imagination or do I smell pumpkin scones baking? I’m headed upstairs to check this out. In the meantime, enjoy the end of Winter or Summer, whatever the case may be. Here in my office, it’s always time for PEEPs.
