The cover for “The Siege,” the 13th full length “Haunted Series” novel has been finished. All that is left is for the book to be delivered into the capable hands of the Beta Reader by The Red Pen. Seems to me, childbirth was easier. No, that was after the drugs kicked in. Child birth was hard. One clever doctor explained it to my husband this way, “It’s like a never-ending kidney stone.” My hubby had two kidney stones; I gave birth to two children. Consider us even.
Back to “The Siege,” its tentative delivery date is December 20th, 2014. If I release it sooner, I will post the information first on this website. So keep an eye out. There will be a notice on FB that a new post is available. My web guy promises me, he’ll have a button set up for those that use Amazon Kindle to click through and Barnes and Noble when it’s available there too. We are doing this because, in the first confusing days of release, it’s sometimes difficult to find the new book. Believe it or not, my good friends and readers Jennifer and Amanda find out the book is published before I’m notified. I am indebted to them for letting me know.
I’m excited for this book to be released. When I finish the first draft, all I want to do is sit and talk about the book, share the story, and ask questions. But I’m greeted by my editor with her hands over her ears. She doesn’t want me to spoil the first read-through. My beta reader, who can be quite nosy at times, manages to suppress his curiosity in lieu of spoilers. So, here I sit with just Murphy for company. He’s convinced that I could have given him a bigger part in the book, maybe the whole book? Recently, Murph’s been traveling. Several readers have found him at their homes. I hope he brought his Midwest manners with him. After all, he spends most of his time either in the barn or outside.
So, readers, hang in there. You and I will await the release of “The Siege” together.
