It’s time for an update, or that’s what my webguy tells me. I finished the first draft of the 14th Haunted Series novel on the 14th of February. Yes, while all of you were munching on chocolate, having champagne and strawberries, I was at the keyboard finishing NOLA. For those savvy at southern United States acronyms, I don’t have to explain myself, but for those, like myself last year, puzzled by all these NOLA signs, I will explain. NOLA stands for New Orleans, Louisiana. Most of the 14th novel takes place in N’awlins. It was fun to research and even more fun to write. I’ll start my rewrite soon and will let all of you know when the book will be available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
More news!
This Friday, February 20, 2014, I’ve put The Hauntings of Cold Creek Hollow on Countdown with Amazon. For three and a half days, it will be available at 99 cents and for the following three and half days, $1.99. This is an excellent time for people to dip into the series to see if PEEPs is for them. A good time also to gift the book to new ereaders.
Winter Survival.
For those just barely holding on (Hang in there New England) I’ve found rich soups (calories be damned) help to ease the soreness of shoveling. One of our fellow PEEPs, Donna Fredricks, posted this recipe on Facebook from Rule.Me. Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Soup.
I took a look at the ingredients and instantly knew that it wasn’t a diet meal, unless you’re lowcarbing it. But I made it for the family, and it was one of the best soups I’ve ever made. The denizens of Bliss Cottage have all but raised me on their shoulders as the queen of the culinary for simply following the directions. Try it if you’re a fan of Buffalo wings. Also, if anybody has any other soup recipes they would like to share, post them here.
I guess this wraps up my updates. I can now start reading NOLA for typos, bad grammar, punctuation, and all that stuff that drives The Red Pen mad.
