What is it with dolls? In Ghostly Attachments, I used a doll to aid PEEPs in dealing with the horrors of the nursery. The doll that gave me inspiration in the book is my husband’s doll, Hansel, bought for him when he was a baby in France. Hansel is really loveable, but maybe it’s because he obviously likes me best and we’ve become quite attached. The Red Pen, like Jesse Holden in CID, hates clown dolls.

It’s the time of the year, traditionally, where we all start thinking about what’s new on television and why haven’t I, Alexie Aaron, put my series on yet. I would love to see the Haunted Series on TV or a movie or both. I have researched this and brought in experts in this area to counsel me on how to best go about it. The first thing I need is to get new readers, a lot of them. So, I waved my wand… No, I have hired a group to send press releases to just about everybody, which discusses the Haunted Series and its first book, The Hauntings of Cold Creek Hollow.

Wednesday, there were a lot of firsts. One, the denizens of Ravens’ Rook traveled two hours in the car, and no one ended up on the side of the road, thinking things over. The Webguy came close. Why were we traveling? I was invited to the Surrey Township Public Library in Farwell, Michigan, by Jean Gaskill. Which brings up another first, this was my first public appearance to speak about the “Haunted Series.”
Read MoreDear Diary
Have you ever looked backwards to see what you were doing on this day a few months or years ago? Facebook helps us out in relation to our time on FB, but what about the time before social media’s computers kept track of our every internet move? People had diaries, and I’m not just speaking about those little pink books with very easy to pick locks on them. I’m talking about journals. These books give us insights into the daily workings of households, and many also give us tidbits of gossip from which we learn so much about the social network of the era in which they are written.

The thirteenth podcast didn’t go without a hitch or two. The Web guy thought I was asking about summer music when I asked about summer memories. What developed out of that was interesting. Aside from this blip. The podcast has answers to reader questions, teasers about Risen book 22 of the Haunted Series, and some great conversations. Come join us on Alexie Aaron’s 13th podcast. Have a great summer!
Read More"The Return" Has Been Released!
I’m proud to announce that "The Return", Book 21 of the "Haunted Series", has been released! This book is very special to me. Not only does it continue the Haunted Series, but it includes poetry from Brian Corrigan. Brian has been a great sport by creating special poems to fit my story of Hero, an exiled birdman, who mourns the loss of his love through the poetry he writes.
This is Book 21, can you believe it? I’m also putting the first book of the Haunted Series, The Hauntings of Cold Creek Hollow on countdown starting Saturday July 29th for 99 cents here and in the UK. I hope you enjoy the latest Haunted Series novel and here is the blurb.
Mia is experiencing the normal life she’s dreamed about. A mother of three. “Did the last one have to be born in the snow?” Parent teacher conferences. “What do you mean Dieter is flunking English?” Trips to the library. “Why is this ghost throwing books at me?”
Acting Sheriff Tom Braverman’s life isn’t going much better, his mother has kicked him out of the house, and the teen he’s mentoring is being targeted by a psychopath.
“The Return” is about returns, whether they are souls, spirits, or feathers. Join Mia, Murphy and PEEPs as they navigate the perils that come when the past returns with a vengeance.
“The Return,” is the 21st book of the popular “Haunted Series.”
Being Positive in a Negative World
It occurs to me that it’s extremely hard to hold on to a positive thought in this negative society. Regardless of our political, ethical, or ambitious leanings, we are faced with a barrage of negative actions, verbal and tangible, coming at us from all sides.
It’s destroying positivity. But how has this happened? Let’s say you see, hear, or read something that goes against your core beliefs. Instead of holding your anger in check, you unleashed it. Negativity thrives on hatred. Negative people attract other negative people, and before you know it, you not only don’t recognize these people with whom you associate, but you no longer recognize yourself.
This anger is brewing to a point of being explosive. It doesn’t matter who started it. It must stop, and we can stop it.
